o mount the M1 dash camera with your radar detector, you will need to disassemble the detectors standard mount, then reconfigure it using the M1 mount kit parts.  You will replace the existing mount's carriage bolt with the M1 mount kit's longer bolt. You will add the M1 mounting arm between the carriage bolt and thumb screw on the mount itself. Then, attach the camera to the opposite side of the mounting arm. Power is connected to the M1 camera and then fed to the radar detector via the small jumper cable from the M1 into the detector power port.
