Apple iPhone


Ensure that your iPhone is up to date with the latest version of iOS before performing this step. You can find that under the Settings App > General > Software Updates.


Quit and reopen the Drive Smarter app to force it to reestablish connections

If that does not work, you may need to Force Restart your iPhone, a special way of restarting the phone that forces all apps to reestablish connections


Android


Please note that these instructions apply onto to Android phones with Android versions 10 and up.


Force Stop the App

  • Open your phone's settings
  • Scroll down to “Apps”, tap into it
  • Scroll down and find the Drive Smarter app in the list, tap into it
  • Across the bottom of there should be 3 icons: tap the one that says something along the lines of "Force Stop" on it
  • Tap "Ok" on the warning that pops up


Clear the Cache

  • While in the same place that you just force stopped the app, you should have a list above the three icons. In the list will be "Storage"
  • Tap on “Storage”
  • Across the bottom should be two icons. It is important that you tap the correct one if you don't want to have to sign in to your account again
  • Tap “Clear Cache”


Relaunch the App

  • Tap "Back" at the upper left, then down at the bottom tap the icon that says "Open" to relaunch the app
